We are all on the IMI Techsafe register which ensures that we have the correct qualifications and that our workshops are properly equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to carry out electric vehicle repairs safely.

Industry Accreditations

It’s important for us to be recognised by industry partners as delivering a high standard of work and we hope that this also reassures drivers who have never used us before.

We’re delighted to have been accepted as members of the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Repair Alliance (HEVRA) which is a network of the top electric vehicle repair centres in the UK and are also pleased to be part of Servicesure’s EV Sure network of independent garages that are pushing up quality and standards in this new automotive sector.

Why should I buy an Electric Car?

There are compelling reasons to invest in an electric car:

  1. There are the obvious environmental benefits of creating no emissions or pollutants and of course, they help to lower our carbon footprint.
  2. Electric cars are cheaper overall to run than standard fuel vehicles – it’s generally cheaper to charge an electric car than to fill a car up with petrol or diesel. Also, because electric cars have fewer moving parts, there are fewer things that can break or wear out, so you’ll end up spending less on repairs.
  3. Battery range is increasing all the time as technology improves so nowadays you can rely on your electric car to take you a decent distance before it needs charging, and if it does need charging there are more and more charging stations appearing across the country. You can find your nearest one on the charging map below.

If you’re not sure about buying an electric car or you have any concerns about one you already have, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team at Shaw's Service Station, or pop into either of our branches in Rhyl and Kimmel Bay – we’ll be happy to help and advise.

Where can I charge my Electric Car?
