Towyn sits between Kinmel Bay and Abergele on the A548 coast road, and our Foryd Road workshop is about a mile away — near enough to drop the car in and walk back, and near enough that an MOT does not have to cost you a morning.
It is a full workshop rather than a fast-fit: DVSA approved Class 4 MOT testing, interim and full servicing to the manufacturer's schedule, brakes, tyres, alignment and everyday mechanical repair all happen on the same site, by the same technicians.
If the car needs more than that — advanced diagnostics, an electrical fault, hybrid or EV work — it goes to our Rhyl branch, a mile across the river, and we will book it in for you.
Every job is quoted before the work starts. If we find something beyond what you booked in for, you hear about it and decide — nothing is done on the assumption you would have said yes.

Our Kinmel Bay branch is at 93a Foryd Road, Kinmel Bay, Rhyl LL18 5LU — about 1 mile from Towyn, on the A548 coast road just west of the Foryd Bridge. Our Rhyl branch on Glan Y Morfa Industrial Estate is the other option if it suits you better.
Do you work on hybrids and electric cars?
Yes, at our Rhyl branch. Shaw's has four Level 3 EV technicians, one Level 4 EV technician and one technician trained directly by Tesla. All EV and high voltage work is carried out through the Rhyl workshop. We are HEVRA members and EVSure approved.
Will servicing with you affect my manufacturer warranty?
No. We service to the manufacturer's own schedule using the correct specification parts and Castrol oils, which is what keeps a warranty intact — you are not obliged to use a main dealer to protect it.
