Our Story
Two branches, one family, one standard
Shaw’s Service Station has been a well-reputed centre for car repairs and servicing since the 1950s, and since the current team took over in 2012 the garage has gone from strength to strength, with two branches — one in Kinmel Bay on Foryd Road and one in Rhyl on Glan Y Morfa Industrial Estate. It is a true family business, with four family members working in the garage, which is why we really care about the quality of the work we produce and the service our customers receive.
We cater for all makes and models of cars and vans, including hybrid and electric. The two workshops do different work: Kinmel Bay is MOT testing, servicing, mechanical repairs and everyday vehicle maintenance for local customers, while Rhyl takes advanced diagnostics, electrical work, EV and hybrid work, vans, fleet vehicles and complex repairs, alongside general servicing and repairs.
Shaw's has four Level 3 EV technicians, one Level 4 EV technician and one technician trained directly by Tesla. All EV and high voltage work is carried out through the Rhyl workshop. It is equipped for it — which is why we were accepted into HEVRA, the network of the best EV and hybrid specialist workshops in the country.
